Introduction
The Establishment Division, Government of Pakistan, approved National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Quetta in March 1980. The Institute started functioning at Quetta in 1987. It comprises of Academic and Administration blocks, an Auditorium for 450 persons, two Hostels (3×17 each) having 100 fully furnished single-rooms, a residential block for the officers and staff of NIM, dispensary, mosque, squash courts and a gymnasium.During the last twenty years NIM Quetta conducted 38 Advanced Courses in Public Sector Management and a number of short courses with 1925 number of participants. NIM Quetta is the only self-sufficient and high standard, civil service training Institute in Balochistan. The NSPP in its 3″meeting of Board of Governors accorded approval to the sanctioned strength of NIM Quetta from 51 to 196. To equalize strength of all sister organizations. National Institute of management (NIM) Quetta is successfully conducting fourteen weeks Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) for BS 18 officers.
Aim
To impart high-quality training and capacity building of the public servants of Pakistan with a view to train them for policy development & governance
Scope
The Institute is designed to undertake training courses for in-service government officers for their capacity building and skill development. These training courses are mandatory for all cadre (BS-18) officers who are due for the promotion. These training courses are specially designed for the mid-level bureaucracy to add leadership prowess to the officers.
