The Director’s Training Program (DTP), organized by the Pakistan Administrative Staff College (PASC) as part of the on-going NMC 121 under the mandate provided by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP, was inaugurated on 23 October, 2024. Mr. Akif Saeed, Chairman SECP, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
At the outset Mr. Sahibzada Mohammad Shahzad Sultan, Directing Staff NSPP, shared the content, methodology, and objectives of the course with the audience.
Speaking on behalf of Dr. Ijaz Munir, Rector NSPP, Dean PASC, Dr. Muhammad Jamil Afaqi welcomed the Chief Guest and the participants. He stated that the DTP is the result of the growing partnership between NSPP and SECP. This collaboration merges the regulatory prowess of SECP with the educational excellence of NSPP.
In his inaugural address, Chairman SECP then threw light on the significance of the Code of Corporate Governance (CCG). He sensitized the participants about their responsibilities and obligations in the role sof a Director on the Board of a company. Mr. Saeed hailed the idea of disseminating knowledge from the platform of DTP among the civil servants.
