Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah at the National School of Public Policy

In a session hosted by the National School of Public Policy on 10th Dec 2024, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah addressed participants of 121 NMC at the Pakistan Staff College. The visit started with Chief Minister taking the opportunity to visit the Sadeqain Gallery. Later while addressing the participants, he elaborated on three transformative projects under the Sindh government’s ambit, which serve as exemplary models of strategic development and public administration.

The Chief Minister’s presentation highlighted the Thar Coal Energy project, a cornerstone in Pakistan’s energy strategy. He highlighted that the project not only taps into one of the largest lignite reserves globally but also integrates significant infrastructural investments with community development initiatives. The project’s impact extends beyond energy, fostering local employment and infrastructure improvements, demonstrating a sustainable approach to resource management.

Another pivotal initiative presented was the Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees project. This project addresses the acute housing needs following devastating floods, focusing on building resilient infrastructure and communities. He stated that the project showcases government’s commitment to not only rebuilding but also enhancing the quality of life and security for the affected populations through innovative housing solutions and community services.

He also presented a large number of initiatives taken by the Government of Sindh’s through public-private partnerships. The dialogue provided rich insights into the complexities of policy-making and project execution, offering valuable lessons for public servants involved in similar domains. The session concluded with a Q&A, allowing participants to explore the strategic implications of these projects, followed by the rector’s vote of thanks to CM Sindh for his comprehensive and enlightening presentation.
