Workshop on Artificial Intelligence with Dr. Khalid Ahmad Khan. The workshop  on  Artificial  Intelligence(AI)was organized  by  the  National  Institute  of  Public Policy on 11th  August,  2025. The workshop  was  conducted  by Dr.  Khalid  Ahmad Khan,  a distinguished  expert. The  aim of  the  workshop  was to enhance participants’ understanding  of Artificial Intelligence, its applications, and its transformative potential in public sector. Dr. Khalid Ahmad provided a comprehensive overview of AI  fundamentals, including machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics. The workshop emphasized the role of AI  in  improving and  automating  administrative  processes  within  government  institutions.  The discussion  also  covered  the  integration  of  AI  in  public  administration  to  streamline  processes, reduce  human  error,  and  enhance  transparency,  as  well  as the  importance  of  data-driven governance in  policy  making.  Ethical  considerations  such  as  bias,  privacy  concerns,  and  the responsible  use  of  AI  in  governance  were  highlighted.  Dr.  Khalid  also provided real world examples  from  both  international  and  Pakistani  contexts  where  AI  has  been  successfully integrated into public service delivery. The workshop also included an interactive session of AI tools by showcasing their practical use. The participants actively  engaged during  this  segment. It  was  a  valuable  opportunity  to understand  the  intersection  of  technology  and  governance,  as  well  as  the  potential  of  AI  to revolutionize  the  efficiency,  accountability,  and  citizen centric  approach  of  public  institutions. The   session   highlighted   that   while   AI   offers   immense   potential,   its   integration   requires institutional readiness, capacity-building, and robust legal frameworks. The   workshop   proved   to   be   an   insightful   learning   experience   for   participants,   fostering awareness  about  the  evolving  nature  of  governance  in  the  digital  age.  Such  training  initiatives can bridge the knowledge gap  among public sector professionals and equip them with the tools to connect AI for effective policy implementation.
