A two-day workshop on Strategic Communication and Media Engagement in Crisis Situations was held at PASC on the 28th and 29th of November, 2024. Barrister Mahreen Khan served as the master trainer. She holds a Law degree from Cambridge and a degree in Public Policy from Harvard. Additionally, she has anchored programs on BBC World TV.
The judges for the mock press conference exercise were Mian Shabbir Anwer, a retired Information Group officer; Mian Sanaullah, a retired Foreign Service officer; and Syed Akbar Shirazi, an expert in strategic communication.
A team of experienced journalists posed questions to various groups of participants based on mock scenarios. The master trainer and judges provided valuable feedback after each group’s mock press conference.
At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates were distributed among the participants, and a group photo was taken as a token of remembrance. Dr. Ayesha Saeed was the Sponsor DS for this activity. It was indeed an insightful training experience.
