Mr. Abdul Aziz Uqaili delivered a lecture on “Adoption and Effectiveness of Sustainable Development Goals” to the participants of 125th National Management Course (NMC) at Pakistan Administrative Staff College (PASC), National School of Public Policy (NSPP) on 11th August, 2026. During the session, the Guest Speaker highlighted the critical challenge of translating global SDG commitments into effective national and local implementation, with particular emphasis on institutional capacity, leadership, organisational culture, public policy, coordination and accountability. He also discussed the role of public service as an institutional orchestrator in aligning policies, budgets, partnerships, monitoring and accountability, and outlined key governance levers including policy coherence, clear mandates, regulation and incentives, measurement, leadership, culture and collaboration. The lecture concluded with an emphasis on collective action and effective implementation as essential pathways towards sustainable national development.
Towards the end of the session, Dean PASC thanked the Guest Speaker for sparing his valuable time and sharing valuable insights with the participants of 125th NMC.
