The Executive Development Institute (EDI), National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore, successfully conducted a two-day “Leadership Development Program (LDP): Journey to the Next Level” Course on 09–10 September 2026, bringing together senior officers, policymakers, private-sector executives and academics from across Pakistan.
The program witnessed a notable turnout of 51 diverse participants from across Pakistan, including federal and provincial civil officers, private-sector executive and academia. Key participating departments and organizations included the National Assembly Secretariat, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority(PTA), Pakistan Engineering Council(PEC), Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan(SECP), Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission(PAEC), National Information Technology Board(NITB), Pakistan Airports Authority(PAA), National Engineering Services Pakistan(NESPAK), Pakistan Institute of Management, Intelligence Bureau, Punjab Mineral Development Corporation, Emergency Services Department–Punjab, Meezan Bank Ltd. and leading academic institutions such as Kinnaird College for Women, Virtual University of Pakistan, Rawalpindi Women University, Punjab Education Foundation and NIPP-Lahore, among others.
Dr. Naveed Elahi, Dean EDI, opened the program emphasizing leadership skills, emotional intelligence, innovation and public service excellence. Day-first, distinguished speakers included Dr. Ishrat Hussain, Dr. Naveed Elahi, Mr. Shoaib Mir and Prof. Dr. Sa’ad B. Malik, covering topics such as self-awareness, leadership innovation, emotional intelligence and strategic management. On day-two, the workshop featured by Dr. Jawad Syed, followed by lecture discussions by Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib on visionary leadership and Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi on AI & emerging technologies.
The program concluded with Dean EDI thanking participants, encouraging integrity-driven leadership and awarding certificates amongst participants.
