Panel Discussion on Parliamentary Oversight in Public Policy Domain

A Panel Discussion on Parliamentary Oversight in Public Policy Domain was held on 4th December with Syed Fakhar Imam and Mian Raza Rabbani as panelists. The focus was history and basics of parliamentary oversight over the Executive, international models of parliamentary oversight and case of Pakistan, evolution of oversight function by the Senate and the National Assembly in Pakistan and forms of oversight under the House Rules. In addition, role of Parliamentary Committees and their interface with ministries was also discussed.
